Reflector and Cooltube
Cooltube reflectors and reflectors are available in a wide range of materials. Many brands are present to offer you a rich range that will meet your needs LumatekBat CoolTube, Xtra-Cool Tube, Gavita, Prima Klima...Stucco, Monster Warrior and Bazooka. Perfect for your indoor cultures!
Choose your reflector according to the growing space taken up in your house from :
- the open or basic reflectors, with aluminium or hammered "mirror" surface, specific for those who need a CFL bulb (from 125 W to 300 W), high-end Adjust-A-Wing adjustable, parabolic shapes, and the models closed at the four corners (TripleStar from Lumatek, MiniGrower for example)
- glass reflectors, to be ventilated by cooling them by means of a duct/extractor ventilation connection system, such as the Cool Tube reflectors (the best known), and others with removable flat glass, such as the Bazooka, XtraCool, Black OG...
For example, if your grow room is located in a place subject to temperature variations (such as the attic), we recommend flat glass reflectors to adapt to the different seasons. On the other hand, with an indoor growing room with the same volumes and lighting but installed in a cellar (temperatures stable at all times) prefer open reflectors.
The shape of the reflector and its coating determine the distribution of light, the heat released and the presence of undesirable hot spots that are harmful to your plants. The reflectors and their accessories optimise your horticultural lighting and limit losses.
Indispensable for the reverberation of light, they allow you to target the lumens on the plants. Closed reflectors concentrate the luminous flux better. The materials generally used are bumpy or hammered aluminium.
Hammered aluminium has the advantage of dispersing the luminous flux in several directions at the same time, thus avoiding hot spots. They are all equipped with E40 lampholders, for all MH, HPS, CFL and CMH (hybrid) lamps from 125 W to 300 W. Don't forget to buy the cables for the socket-ballast / ballast-sector connections.

in an extensive range. Many brands are present to offer you a rich range that will meet your needs: Lumatekbat CoolTube, Xtra-Cool Tube, Gavita, Prima Klimastucco, Monster Warrior and Bazooka. Perfect for indoor cultivation!
What's a reflector for? To diffuse the light from your bulb and redirect it downwards as evenly as possible, so that the luminous flux is more or less the same over the entire surface of your growing area.
is there any loss between a glazed or cooltube reflector and an open reflector?
yes and no. If you take measurements, you'll realize that there is indeed a loss of 5% to 7%, but on the other hand you can largely divide the distance between the plants and the horticultural lighting in 2, so you're a winner and not a loser, which will enable you to optimize your growing space and give the plants what they need.
What type of reflectors are available?
- Basic stucco reflector 50x40cm and 40x40cm
- Basic mirror reflector 50x40cm and 40x40cm
- the Maxilight reflector, a small, high-precision hammered reflector
- cooltube reflectors available in 125mm, 150mm, 200mm and double-lamp versions
- adjust A Wing adjustable reflectors for the Enforcer and Defender ranges
- reflectors glazed and ventilated by a ventilation duct
- Parabolic reflectors
- reflectors for professional lamp kits
- CFL reflectors
- Led reflectors
- Daisy umbrella reflectors by secret jardin
Choose your reflector according to the growing space in your home, from :
- open or basic reflectors, with "mirrored" aluminum or hammered surfaces, specific reflectors that require a CFL bulb (from 125 W to 300 W), top-of-the-range Adjust-A-Wing adjustable reflectors, parabolic reflectors, and models closed at all four corners (TripleStar by LumatekminiGrower, for example)
- glazed reflectors, to be cooled by means of a duct/extractor ventilation connection system, such as Cool Tube reflectors (the best-known), and others with removable flat glass, such as Bazooka, XtraCool, Black OG...
If, for example, your grow room is located in an area prone to temperature variations (such as an attic), we recommend flat glass reflectors to adapt to the different seasons. On the other hand, if you're growing indoors in a cellar with the same volume and lighting (stable temperatures all the time), we recommend open reflectors.
Reflector shape :
The shape of the reflector and its coating determine light distribution, heat output and the presence of undesirable hot spots harmful to your plants. Reflectors and their accessories optimize your horticultural lighting and limit losses.
Indispensable for reverberating light, they enable lumens to be focused on plants. Closed reflectors concentrate luminous flux more effectively.
Materials used :
The materials generally used are bent or hammered aluminum, with reflectivity rates of 86% to 97%, and can have an impact on crop production: the more light you have, the more crop you'll have. It's preferable to select the best reflectors for horticultural lighting, in order to obtain the desired results on your crops and to satisfy you.
Hammered aluminum has the advantage of dispersing the luminous flux in several directions at once, thus avoiding hot spots.
What type of lampholder are the reflectors equipped with?
They are all equipped with E40 sockets, for all MH, HPS, CFL and CMH (hybrid) lamps from 125 W to 300 W. Don't forget to buy the necessary cables for socket-ballast / ballast-sector connections.
this E40 socket will enable you to screw in your HPS or MH bulb with ease, and for those who don't want to make any electrical connections, some reflectors are equipped directly with IEC connections or are already pre-wired to make your installation easier and save time.
