    Good to know :

    Sowing: April / July
    Harvest: July / September

Green beans are an excellent source of vitamins and nutrients, perfect for a balanced diet.

The dwarf filet mangetout bean is distinguished by its dark-green, shiny, fleshy, stringless pods. With a very fine size and a length of 15 to 17 cm, this plant has an upright habit and heat-resistant foliage. Harvesting is simplified as the pods are located above the leaves.

For sowing: plant from April to May, when frosts are no longer a threat and the soil is well warmed. The sowing period varies according to the type of bean:

    • Green beans: staggered sowing until the end of July.
    • Fresh beans: staggered sowing until July 15.
    • Dry beans: staggered sowing until June 15.

For dwarf varieties: sow 5 to 6 seeds in staggered stacks every 40 cm, with rows 40 cm apart. For row crop varieties: sow 6 to 7 seeds in staggered bunches every 50 cm, with rows 70 cm apart, limiting the number of rows to 2 or 3 per bed.

Prepare healthy, well loosened, fresh, light, humus-rich soil with a warm, sunny exposure. Ensure regular hoeing and adequate watering to optimize the growth and production of your beans.
