    Good to know :

    Sowing: March / April
    Harvest: August / September

The Rezha macedonian pepper is an ancient and highly distinctive variety from Macedonia, recognizable by the lines engraved on its skin. Each plant produces numerous fruits. With a robust flavor, measuring around 5/10 on the Scoville scale, this pepper can be eaten in a variety of ways depending on its stage of ripeness, whether fresh, sautéed or dried.

For successful planting, we recommend sowing in February-March in pots of fine potting soil, in a greenhouse heated to around 25°C. Chillies need warmth and moderate humidity to germinate, which generally takes up to three weeks. The plants can then be transplanted in May into deep, loose soil, exposed to warm, sunny conditions, with 50 cm spacing between each plant. Regular maintenance, including hoeing, watering and mulching, is recommended. If you live in a cooler region, growing these peppers in a greenhouse is a recommended option.

As for good combinations, chillies thrive alongside other Solanaceae such as Peruvian cockroaches, nightshades, peppers and tomatoes.

Chillies are generally harvested 5-6 months after sowing, when the fruit is fully ripe. They can be picked as and when required, or dried in the sun or oven for longer storage.
