    Good to know :

    Sowing: April / June
    Harvest: June / August

Zucchini Bianca di Trieste is an old, non-runner variety, renowned for its productivity in terms of both fruit and flowers. The zucchini it produces are short, paunchy and very tasty, with a pale ivory-green color and thick flesh.

To sow Bianca di Trieste zucchini successfully, we recommend sowing in April in pots in a light location. The seeds are placed on the edge of potting soil and kept moist but not excessively so. After this, the plants can be transplanted to a sunny spot around mid-May, with a spacing of around 1 meter between each plant. Regular watering and composting are recommended, as is mulching to keep down weeds and preserve moisture.

For zucchini cultivation, we recommend pinching the stems to stimulate development. Hoeing, weeding and mulching are also useful practices for maintaining the crop.

In terms of beneficial associations, it's best to avoid planting potatoes nearby, but beans and cabbage are favorable companions.

If zucchini plants fail to produce flowers or fruit, this can be due to a number of factors, including hot weather or lack of pollination. To attract pollinators, it is advisable to sow flowering mixes close to cucurbit crops.

Zucchini can be harvested around 2 months after sowing. It's best to harvest young zucchini to avoid them becoming bitter.
