    Organically grown (AB)

    Good to know:

    Sowing: February / April
    Harvest: July / September

This blend of large-fruited tomatoes offers a variety of flavors, perfect for colorful coulis and ketchups. It includes the Chocolate Stripes, Evergreen, Noire de Crimée, Potiron Ecarlate and Summer Cider varieties, mainly intended for self-consumption.

To sow tomatoes successfully, start between February and April on a warm bed or in pots indoors/heated greenhouse, using a fine sowing mix. Bury the seeds at 1 cm, water to maintain humidity without excess, and place the seedlings near a window. Transplant when plants reach 12-15 cm, 70 cm between rows and 50 cm along the row, with staking and abundant watering at the base once a week.

As for pruning, there are different approaches: don't prune for more but smaller fruit, prune for larger, earlier fruit (carefully to avoid wounds), or prune on two strands. Harvest tomatoes 4 to 5 months after sowing.

The main problems are mildew, to be prevented with Bordeaux mixture, and apical necrosis due to lack of calcium or irregular watering, to be corrected by regular, abundant watering.
