    Good to know:

    Sowing: February / April
    Harvest: July / September

The cherry tomato blend offers a variety of colors, shapes and flavors, perfect for salads and kebabs. This blend contains 20% tomatoes Black Cherry, Cocktail Clementine, Green Doctor's, Mexican Honey and Yellow Pearshaped. These varieties are mainly intended for home consumption and are organically grown.

To sow tomatoes successfully, sow from February to April in warm soil (20°C) or in pots indoors or in a heated greenhouse. Use a fine sowing soil, bury the seeds at 1 cm and keep the soil moist but not excessively so. Place your seedlings near a window to prevent them from stretching towards the light. Replant when plants reach 12-15 cm and frosts are no longer a concern. Plant in rich, loose, healthy soil, with 70 cm between rows and 50 cm between rows, in a sunny position. Install stakes before planting and water abundantly at the base once a week.

Opinions differ on how to remove suckers from tomato plants. Pruning tomatoes is not compulsory, but it can increase fruit size and earliness, and make harvesting easier. However, this method is time-consuming and can cause wounds. Another approach is not to prune at all, requiring more space in the garden (1 m between each plant) with smaller but more numerous fruits. A third option is to lead the plants on two strands, pinching the base 20 cm from the ground and keeping the two lateral strands.

Tomatoes can be harvested 4 to 5 months after sowing. The main enemies of tomatoes are downy mildew and black-bottom necrosis. To avoid mildew, protect your plants if it rains often in your region, and consider a Bordeaux mixture treatment. Blossom end necrosis is not a disease, but a sign of calcium deficiency or irregular watering. Water regularly and abundantly once a week.
