    Good to know :

    Sowing: March / April
    Harvest: June / October

The Ferenc Tender bell pepper is an early, highly productive variety, ideal for outdoor cultivation champ in temperate climates. Its conical, slightly pointed fruits are light yellow, turning red when fully ripe. They are characterized by a thin skin and thick flesh, offering a mild, pleasant flavor with no perceptible spiciness in the mouth. The plants, averaging 40-50 cm in height, have green stems and leaves, with purple nodes.

This bell pepper variety also has good resistance to tobacco mosaic virus (tobamovirus TMV P0, P1-2), making it an attractive choice for gardeners concerned about the health of their crops.

To sow Ferenc Tender peppers successfully, we recommend starting as early as February or March, using cups filled with fine sowing compost. Maintain a constant temperature of 25°C in a heated greenhouse, and keep the potting soil moist but not soggy. To prevent the development of fungi, you can sprinkle a little crushed charcoal over the soil. Expose the pots to plenty of light, but make sure the seedlings don't shoot upwards.

When the seedlings have developed 2 to 4 true leaves, transplant them into larger pots. In the garden, transplant the seedlings in May, after the last frosts, into light, well-aerated soil in a warm, sunny position, spacing them about 50 cm apart in all directions. Be sure to maintain regular irrigation and apply mulch to conserve soil moisture.

While the plants are growing, avoid excess nitrogen, which could lead to overgrowth of foliage to the detriment of fruiting.

Peppers can be harvested around 5-6 months after sowing, once the fruit has reached full maturity.
