    Étampes green lamb's lettuce is an old variety appreciated for its thick, dense, dark-green leaves. It is renowned for its resistance to cold and good productivity, and can be eaten as a salad or cooked like spinach.

    To sow Étampes green lamb's lettuce successfully, start by sowing lightly from July to September. Choose a mid-shade or shady position, spacing the rays 20 to 25 cm apart. Seeds should be lightly covered, as too thick a covering can hinder germination. Keep the soil cool until the plants emerge, watering regularly to prevent drying out.

    Étampes green lamb's lettuce is harvested from January to March or from October to December. For best results, harvest whole rosettes by cutting at the base, to encourage continuous regrowth.

    This variety, with its thick, hardy leaves, is ideal for bringing greenery to your winter meals, offering a nutritious and tasty alternative to the usual salads.
