Grow it for its aromatic leaves, ideal for spicing up your favorite dishes. Although less flavorful than French tarragon, it remains a reliable option for those looking for a hardy crop.

    For a successful crop, harvest as needed around 12 months after sowing. Before winter, prune stems close to the ground and mulch to protect the plant. In spring, uncover the plant to encourage new growth. By removing the flowering stems, you'll encourage the production of tender, flavorful leaves.

    The soil should be humus-rich, cool, well-drained and exposed to sunlight. You can also grow Russian tarragon in pots for greater flexibility.
