Discover Romanesco ribbed zucchini, also known as Costata Romanesco, an Italian variety with a distinctive appearance: gray-green ribs flecked with pale green, offering fruits up to 3 kg and 30 cm long. Appreciated for its nutty flavor and melt-in-your-mouth, dense, non-watery flesh, this zucchini stands out for its rapid ripening in just 50 to 60 days.

Use it in a multitude of dishes, whether ratatouille, stuffed, au gratin or simply sautéed. Romanesco ribbed zucchini's ribbed slice adds an aesthetic touch to your dishes.

Be sure to pinch the stems to stimulate development and hoe, weed and mulch the base to limit weeds and preserve moisture. When it comes to planting combinations, avoid planting next to potatoes, but favor proximity to beans and cabbage.

If your zucchini plant doesn't produce flowers or fruit, this may be due to a number of factors, including hot weather or a lack of pollination. Make sure you attract pollinators to your garden by sowing flowering mixes close to your cucurbit crops.

Finally, to harvest, pick your zucchinis around 2 months after sowing, opting for a young size of around fifteen centimetres for optimum flavour.
