Organically grown (AB)
Good to know :
Sowing: March / May
Harvest: June / SeptemberThe Marketmore 76 cucumber stands out for its earliness and high productivity. Its fruits, 20 to 25 cm long, have a thin, smooth skin and firm, crunchy flesh with few seeds, and a pleasant, bitter-free taste.
For successful sowing of Marketmore Cucumbers, use pots in March, April or May. Transplant the plants into healthy, fresh, light soil rich in organic matter as soon as they have developed 3 leaves and there's no risk of frost. Space each plant about 0.60 m apart, with rows about 1.30 m apart, in a warm, sunny spot. Water regularly to maintain adequate soil moisture.
Tip: For small vegetable gardens, the often "runny" growth of cucumbers can pose a challenge. However, you can encourage plants to grow taller by guiding them up a trellis or wire mesh. This simple method offers many advantages, including better light exposure, protection from dirt and easier harvesting. And it works for pickles too!
