- Exposure : sunny and sheltered from the wind
- Sowing: at 3.5 cm deep in pots of 2 to 3 seeds. Thin out to leave only one seedling every 90 cm and 130 cm between rows, then hoe and weed. When sowing or transplanting in the vegetable garden, put a mixture of compost and manure in the planting hole. You can even sow directly on a compost heap
- Emergence: in 6 to 8 days in soil at 14°C
- Watering: copious watering but be careful of stagnant moisture
- Harvest: harvest the squashes in dry weather to ensure better conservation
