The kohlrabi delikatess witte:
- Soil maintenance:the kohlrabi prefers very fertile soil and kept moist otherwise it becomes fibrous. No acidic soil
- Exposure: sunny to slightly shaded
- Sowing: 1 cm deep in the nursery or in the open ground, 50 cm between plants and between rows
- Emergence: 8 days in soil at 20°C
- Watering : regular
- Harvest: when the root reaches a minimum weight of 200 g
- Storage: can be kept in silos or cellars during the winter
- Origin: it originates from the Mediterranean basin. The Romans called it the "cabbage of Pompeii". It is a little neglected nowadays for having been a war food
- Council of La Semence Bio®: an application of 2 to 3 cm of well-decomposed compost is normally suitable. The growth must be fast and regular to obtain good quality rootlets (= roots)
