    Sainfoin, a melliferous plant in the legume family, is distinguished by its high yield nature perennial forage, as well as its high resistance to cold and drought. It is particularly effective as a soil improver before nitrogen-intensive crops, and it is recommended not to sow another legume immediately afterwards.

    To sow sainfoin successfully as a soil improver, opt for a sowing period from April to early September, choosing a sunny exposure. Sow broadly and lightly, broadcasting over spaded, weeded soil, then cover the seeds with about 1 cm of soil.

    Sainfoin can also be used to revegetate embankments or difficult terrain, and is adaptable to a variety of climates, including high altitudes.

    For spring sowing, we recommend late summer burial. If sowing is carried out in summer, it can be used as a ground cover with mowing the following spring.

    The recommended sowing density is 200 grams per 20 m²
