  • Lumatek - professional 1000w 400v double-ended dimmable ballast

    This electronic ballast operates 1000W 400V HPS ''double-ended'' lamps (K12x30S). It is fitted with cables for the Double Ended reflector as well as the Dimmable reflector Lumatek 1000 DE mirror or hammered reflector (bulbs and reflectors sold separately), and is designed for hobbyists wishing to access electronic control equivalent to the operation of a professional lamp.
    The Lumatek Pro 1000 connects to a conventional 240V supply, and operates at 125KHz (125,000 cycles per second). A conventional ballast operates at 50Hz making far less lamp light.

    Special features :

    - Precision voltage regulator: microprocessor and control program that can detect the state of degradation of the lamp to always send the necessary voltage.

    - Soft Start; when the ballast is switched on, the controller guides and manages the inrush current to prevent the risk of overloading and short-circuiting, thus protecting the lamp and improving its life. The ballast will enable the lamp to reach maximum brightness in just 3 minutes.

    - Sequential switching; the ballast detects other ballasts on the same circuit. When used in an automated system, the ballasts will light independently and not simultaneously to prevent the risk of short-circuiting.

    - Soft dim; when the ballast output power is changed, the controller manages the change gradually to reduce stress on the lamp and improve its life.
    Circuit protection and Auto - restart; the ballast will detect current overloads, short-circuits, blackouts, overheating and shut down to limit damage to lamp and ballast. To prevent a hot restart, the ballast will sense when the lamp is ready to be restarted and will automatically restart itself.

    - End of lamp life; The ballast will recognize when the lamp is at the end of its life and will not attempt to restart it, to avoid a negative color spectrum.
    No noise; The ballast Lumatek ballast is completely silent and produces no vibration thanks to its slim design which allows heat to escape without the need for an internal fan.

    - Less heat; The ballast is highly efficient and little energy is lost as heat.
    Lightweight; The ballast is compact and lightweight, weighing in at 5 kg, making it easy to fit and install.
