    Expanded clay balls are widely used in horticulture for several reasons. They offer excellent drainage and aeration thanks to their porous structure, preventing water accumulation and reducing the risk of root rot.

    At the same time, they retain a certain amount of moisture, slowly releasing water to the roots and maintaining adequate humidity without saturating the soil. Their neutral pH makes them ideal for cultivation, allowing better control and adjustment for easier absorption of nutrient requirements.

    Their light weight makes them easy to transport and handle, whether for potting or hydroponic systems. What's more, they are durable, do not decompose and can be reused for several seasons, making them an economical and ecological choice. Their chemical inertness means they don't interfere with nutrients added to the soil and contain no harmful substances, making them safe for growing plants. The raw material is pure, unsalted baked clay.
