No substrate is used in this type of installation. The roots are kept in suspension in a dark room to prevent the development of algae. The nutrient solution ( aeroponic fertilizer ) is sprayed on the roots at regular intervals. The roots reach their maximum absorption potential.

However, it is important to pay attention to the pH (Hydrogen Potential) and EC (Electro-Conductivity) of your solution because no support will be able to act as a buffer. We therefore advise you to use a eC tester and a pH tester.
